The beginning

I started this blog back upon discovering I was pregnant for the third time after the death of our second child. But I just found it too hard to write here. I wrote bits and pieces over the past few months and will post them here, starting at the earliest, working my way to the present.

Our son was stillborn at 37 weeks this past February. They did not diagnose him as Trisomy 18 until the autopsy, but I had my suspicions from 20 weeks.

I knew that I wanted to become pregnant again as soon as possible, my partner and I discussed it while we were still in the hospital, mere hours after they told us he had died and I would need to be induced and give birth to him silently.

However, upon becoming pregnant, a whole new set of problems emerged, and the past few months have been far from blissful.
